This privacy policy explains how Wazir Restaurant (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use our staff point-of-sale mobile application (the “App”) and the connected services that make it work.
Data controller
The data controller for personal data processed in connection with the App and our restaurant operations is Wazir Restaurant.

What this policy covers
The App is provided for authorised staff only. It connects to our systems over the internet (including services) so staff can sign in, manage tables and orders, take payments, and—where configured—print to receipt or kitchen printers on the same premises network.
Personal data we process
We process data needed to run the POS and the restaurant. This typically includes:
- Staff and account data — identifiers used to sign in (such as email or account codes), authentication data handled by our systems, and information about your role, division, or permissions as configured for your venue.
- Operational and transaction data — orders, tables, payments, discounts, service charges, receipts, kitchen tickets, and related records generated through the App in the course of service.
- Technical and security data — such as device and connection information, timestamps, and diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Printing features may use the local network or Bluetooth on the device to reach supported printers; we do not need to know your customers’ personal details beyond what is entered for operational purposes in your venue’s normal use of the system.
Purposes and legal bases
We use personal data to:
- provide, operate, and secure the App and connected services;
- process orders and payments and run the restaurant;
- meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations where applicable;
- defend legal claims and protect our business, staff, and customers.
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate legal bases, including: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (running a secure POS and restaurant operation), compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. Employment-related processing for staff may also be carried out under employment law and legitimate business management, in line with our role as employer or as instructed by the venue where applicable.
How long we keep data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including for legal, regulatory, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.
Sharing and processors
We use trusted service providers (for example IT hosting) who process data on our instructions under appropriate contracts. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our business and others.
International transfers
If personal data is processed outside the United Kingdom, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place where required by applicable data protection law.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, in line with the nature of the processing.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). To exercise your rights, contact us at Info@wazir.uk.
Children
The App is not directed at children and is intended for adult staff use in a professional context only.
Apple App Store
When you download the App from Apple’s App Store, Apple may process certain information as an independent controller in line with Apple’s privacy policy. Our processing described here relates to our service once you use the App with your staff account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date below will be revised when we do; continued use of the App after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy where required by law.
